LiMN is the love child of Tai Chi and Jazz.
Your first step is to look at a graph and remember it. When you press "play", the graph disappears, and you do your best to translate the graph into physical motions: high points translate to wild intricate swings, low points to slow moves or stillness.
It's an odd experience, one that takes some time to grok, but if you need an excuse to get up from your desk and stretch, find a nice quiet corner and give it a try. You just might find yourself grinning like a big enlightened dummy after fifteen minutes of practice.
Tips for enjoying LiMN:
Try not to rely on the sound cues too much--the general pattern of each level was designed to be learned in your muscle memory by rote.
Fluid, lilting movements tend to work best. Reach high, dip low, rock, twist and turn your wrist; try to engage your entire body. Have fun experimenting with different forms and stances!
Seven nuanced soundscapes were created for LiMN. Because the pitch of each soundscape compresses and stretches during gameplay, the complexity of each piece was reduced for clarity. Every three levels, you'll unlock an uncompromised original soundscape mix to listen to; navigate to the second level set (II), tap the "Ohm mode" button, and select a soundscape to play it.
